How to Create a ChainIT ID

Create Your Web3 Digital Identity Today

Let's get started!

  • Download the ChainIT ID App
    • Visit your device's app store (Google Play or Apple App Store) and download the ChainIT ID app.
    • Launch the app and click on the Sign Up button.

  • Create Your Login

    • Social Login: Sign up by connecting your Google, Apple, or Facebook account.
    • Sign Up with Phone Number: Enter your phone number to create an account.
    • Privacy Policy & Terms: Read and agree to the Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions to proceed.
  • Identity Verification
    • Biometric Face Scan: Follow the prompt to take a selfie for identity verification. 
      • Note: Liveness checks ensure all users are real, not bots or deepfakes.
    • ID Scan: Scan the front and back of your government-issued photo ID.
      • Note: Your ID is uploaded for verification, but it is not shared with any outside parties. 

  • Set a Pin for Your Digital Wallet

    • Enter a pin. Click Next.
    • Confirm the pin by entering it once again and clicking Submit.
    • Click Continue.
  • Payment
    • Choose your preferred payment method:
      • Credit Card: Enter your credit card information.
      • Connected Payment Partner: Use one of our connected payment partners.
      • Promo Code: Enter a promo code if you have one.

  • Back Up Your Wallet Recovery File

    • After account setup, you’ll see a red banner prompting you to back up your wallet recovery file.

    • Tap the banner and choose your preferred backup method:

      • Cloud Storage: Select Google Drive or OneDrive

      • Email: Send the file to your own email address or another secure destination

    • Important: This file is required to access your wallet on a different device or if you reinstall the app.
      Until backed up, your wallet exists only on your current device.

  • For KYC Users - Check Your Tasks

    • If you've been invited to onboard as part of KYC or KYB compliance, you may have tasks assigned. On the home screen, check the My Tasks section.

    • Tasks may include:

      • Additional identity verifications

      • Document retrieval requests

      • Forms to complete

      • Documents to sign

    • Complete all outstanding items to finish the compliance process.

  • Congratulations! 
    • Your digital identity has been created and is stored in your digital wallet.
    • Now you can use your ChainIT ID to access services and events, and share what  you want with who you want - without exposing your personal information.
