How to Sign a Document

When someone sends you a document to sign using Pactvera, the process is quick, secure, and verifiable through your ChainIT ID.

Step 1: Open the Document Request

  • You’ll receive an email notification with a link to view the document request.

  • If you’re not yet a ChainIT ID user, you’ll be prompted to:

    • Install the ChainIT ID mobile app

    • Sign up and complete your digital identity

  • Once registered, either:

    • Tap My Tasks in the mobile app, or

    • Re-click the link in the email to open the request.


 Step 2: Verify Your Identity

  • To protect you against impersonation, you’ll be required to scan your face using your phone’s camera.

  • This ensures the document can only be signed by you.


Step 3: Complete the Document

  • The document will display with all fields that require your attention highlighted in green.

  • Tap “Start Signing” or tap any field to begin.

  • Fill in all required fields, including:

    • Signature

    • Initials

    • Name, Date, Text, or other input types depending on the request

  • Once completed, tap “Finish Signing.”


Step 4: Confirm What Is Shared

  • After signing, you’ll see a summary of the details from your ChainIT ID that will be shared with the requester.

  • Review the list, then tap Confirm to complete the signing process.


Optional: Reject the Request

  • If you choose not to sign:

    • Tap “Reject” at any point in the process.

    • You may enter a comment explaining the reason.


Final Step: Confirmation

  • Once completed:

    • The document request will move to Completed in your My Tasks tab.

    • You’ll also receive a confirmation email when the entire document has been signed and finalized.
