How can I add or update my ID documents in ChainIT ID?
Use this guide to add a new ID document (e.g., a passport in addition to a driver’s license) or update/replace an existing one (e.g., renewed license, updated name).
1) Open ChainIT ID and Sign In

Launch the ChainIT ID mobile app.

Sign in if prompted.

Complete the face scan when requested.
2) Navigate to “Add or Update ID Documents”

Open the side menu

Go to Profile.

Tap Add or Update ID Documents.
- Scan your face again if prompted.
3) Choose The Document You Want to Add/Update

Select the type of document you want to add or update (for example: Driver’s License / State ID, Passport, etc.).

Follow the on-screen prompts to begin scanning.
4) Scan the Document

Scan the front of the document.

Scan the back if prompted (commonly required for driver’s licenses/state IDs).

Tips for a successful scan:

Make sure the full document is in-frame
-
Avoid glare/shadows
-
Keep the image sharp (hold still, good lighting)

Once completed, your BeingID level may be upgraded if your previous ID had expired or if you've moved to a new state. Click here to learn more about BeingID levels.
