Using Pactvera Templates with KYC Invitations
You can include a Pactvera as part of a KYC invitation when the customer needs to sign a document, complete a form, or participate in another agreement action during onboarding. KYC Pactvera templates can also include authorized employees from your own organization as internal countersigners.
Before You Begin
Create or select a Pactvera template associated with the KYC product line.
The template can contain:
- Documents
- Forms
- Actions for the KYC customer
- Actions for authorized internal Pactvera Signers
For KYC templates, the external-recipient restriction still applies: the template supports one external customer, while one or more authorized users from your own organization may also participate.
Configure the KYC Pactvera Template
When configuring the template:
- Add or configure the KYC customer as the external party.
- Add any required documents and forms.
- Assign the customer's required actions.
- If your organization also needs to sign or approve the Pactvera, add the appropriate user from My Organization.
- Assign the internal participant's required action.
- If signing order is enabled, arrange the participants in the required sequence.
- Save the Pactvera template.
The KYC configuration flow now places the external parties and internal organization participants in an order that better matches the expected signing sequence, while still allowing signers to be rearranged.
Attach the Template to a KYC Invitation
When creating the KYC invitation:
- Enter the customer's invitation details.
- Select the applicable verification options and add-ons.
- Choose the KYC Pactvera template you want to include.
- Review the customer and any configured internal countersigners.
- Submit the invitation.
The KYC customer receives the onboarding request and completes their assigned Pactvera actions as part of the flow.
Internal countersigners complete only the actions assigned to them.
Who Can Be an Internal Countersigner?
Internal countersigners must be users who are available as Pactvera Signers under your organization's current authority configuration.
For information about which employees are available as Pactvera Signers, see Organization Authority, Roles & ARPs — FAQs.
Signing Order
By default, internal and external signers can be arranged according to the required workflow. When signing order is enabled, configure the sequence in which each participant must act.
A common KYC configuration is:
Customer → Internal Countersigner
However, the parties may be reordered to match your organization's required process. The implementation explicitly allows internal and external signers to be reordered rather than imposing a fixed order.
Summary
Using a Pactvera template with a KYC invitation allows you to keep customer verification and related agreement execution together.
You can:
- Include documents and forms with the KYC invitation
- Assign actions to the customer
- Add authorized countersigners from your own organization
- Control signing sequence where needed
- Reuse the same configuration for future KYC invitations
