What are Token Grades?
Token grades are a measure of the verification level and overall reliability of Validated Data Tokens (VDTs) within the ChainIT platform. These grades are determined by evaluating three main factors: BeingID level, Computing Device Reliability (CDR), and Probability of Immutability (POI).
Factors Determining Token Grades:
1. BeingID Levels:
- Levels 1-3: High assurance with direct government involvement or validation.
- Levels 4-5: Moderate to high assurance, typically validated through the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA).
- Levels 6-7: Lower assurance with no government database check performed.
- Levels 8-10: Varying assurance, from moderate (passport uploaded) to minimal (no government ID).
Note: Levels 1-7 require a government photo ID with a full address, and the highest reachable level depends on the user's state of residence.
2. Computing Device Reliability (CDR):
- Level A: Highest reliability, involving stationary kiosks on the BIT Verified Network.
- Level B: Moderate reliability, involving floating kiosks on the BIT Verified Network.
- Level C: Verified personal devices on public networks, with data integrity based on BeingID verifications.
- Level D: Lowest reliability, involving unverified personal devices on public networks.
3. Probability of Immutability (POI):
- Tier 1: Utilizes Bitcoin or Ethereum for data storage, offering the highest confidence in immutability.
- Tier 2 and Tier 3: Still robust, but slightly lower grades due to perceived incremental reductions in security or network stability.
How Token Grades Are Determined
The Token Grading Matrix is used to determine the token grade by cross-referencing the CDR and BeingID levels. Each intersection in the matrix represents a specific combination of these levels, with three possible grades displayed based on the POI tier.
Summary
Token grades provide a comprehensive measure of the verification level of VDTs, ensuring accurate assessments of their security and reliability within the ChainIT platform. By considering BeingID levels, CDR, and POI, the Token Grading System offers valuable insights into the integrity and dependability of each token.
