Why did my BeingID drop to Level 10?

If your BeingID has dropped to Level 10, it's likely due to the expiration of your annual ID verification.

Q: My BeingID suddenly dropped to Level 10. What happened?
If your BeingID has dropped to Level 10, it’s usually because either:

  1. Your annual ID verification has expired, or

  2. The ID document you previously verified (for example, your driver’s license or passport) has expired.

When this happens, your identity assurance level is reduced until you refresh your verification.

Q: How will I know if this happened?
When your BeingID drops to Level 10:

  • You’ll see a pop-up in the app explaining that your verification or document has expired.

  • You can also go to Profile > Add or Update ID Documents at any time to check and update your ID.

Q: What do I need to do to restore my BeingID level?

  1. Open the ChainIT ID app.

  2. Go to the hamburger menu (sidebar) > Profile > Add or Update ID Documents.

  3. Choose the relevant ID document type (for example, Driver’s License / State ID or Passport).

  4. Scan your updated/valid document and follow on-screen instructions.

  5. Complete any face scan or verification steps if prompted.

Once your ID is successfully re-verified, your BeingID level will be updated accordingly.

Q: Do I have to pay again?

It depends on what expired:

  • If your annual ID verification has expired

    • You may need to purchase a new annual verification to restore your full BeingID level.

  • If only your ID document expired (but your annual verification is still active)

    • Updating to a new, valid document is included in your annual verification.

    • You do not need to pay again—just follow the in-app flow to add or update your document.

Q: Where can I update my ID document in the app?
You can always use:

Side Menu > Profile > Add or Update ID Documents

From there, select your document type, scan your new/valid ID, and complete any required verification steps.
