Shareholder Attestations
Learn how to complete attestations as a shareholder on ChainIT.
Shareholder Attestation 1: Statutory Management Authority Confirmation
What is Statutory Management Authority Confirmation?
Statutory Management Authority Confirmation is an ARP (Authority Resolution Pactvera) where you, as a shareholder, confirm that the listed officers (e.g., President, Treasurer, Secretary) have legal authority to manage the organization based on its governing documents and applicable state law.
Why this matters:
Your attestation helps legally establish which individuals have the power to represent and make decisions for the business. It’s required to complete the organization’s Ultimate Beneficial Ownership (UBO) verification.
How to Complete the Attestation:
-
Check your email – You’ll receive an invite from ChainIT to verify your identity and complete the attestation.
-
Log in or sign up – Create a ChainIT ID account (if you don’t already have one) and complete a quick identity verification (KYC). Click here for a step-by-step walkthrough.
- Start the task - On the home screen, under My Tasks, you will see a task titled "Statutory Management Authority Confirmation". Click on the task to begin, then scan your face to confirm your identity.
-
Review the officer list – You’ll see a summary of the individuals identified as officers of the company.
-
Sign the attestation – Read and confirm that the listed officers are accurate and authorized to manage the company, then digitally sign the document.
- If something looks incorrect, simply click "Reject" and enter a comment. An admin of your organization will review your response.
-
Pactvera Validation – A tokenized record of your attestation will be stored immutably.
Shareholder Attestation 2: Corporate Shareholder Ownership Confirmation
What is Corporate Shareholder Ownership Confirmation?
Corporate Shareholder Ownership Confirmation is an ARP (Authority Resolution Pactvera) completed by shareholders that are organizations, not individuals. It confirms that your entity owns part of the business being onboarded and affirms the percentage ownership.
When is this required?
If your organization owns 10% or more of another business being onboarded to ChainIT, you will be asked to complete ARP#5.
How to Complete the Attestation:
-
Watch for the invite – Your designated representative will receive an email with a secure link.
-
Log in or create an Org ID – Sign in to the ChainIT platform and verify your organization’s identity (KYB process). Learn more about the organization verification process here.
- Start the task - On the home screen, under My Tasks, you will see a task titled "Corporate Shareholder Ownership Confirmation". Click on the task to begin, then scan your face to confirm your identity.
